AVI is a not-for-profit international membership organization advocating early identification of hearing impairment and optimal access to spoken language through modern technology. Its goals are to heighten public awareness of the rationale and evidence for Auditory-Verbal practice, to provide quality educational opportunities for parents and professionals, and to ensure quality standards for Auditory-Verbal clinicians and teachers on an international level through a certification program.

The Bolesta Center, Inc.

The Bolesta Center, Inc. is one of only twelve independently owned non-profit Auditory-Verbal Centers in the USA. It provides a diversity of therapeutic and educational programs based on the Auditory-Verbal Approach for infants, preschoolers and school-aged children from southeastern states and the Bahamas who are deaf and hard of hearing. The Bolesta Center, Inc. also provides programs for persons who are late deafened, professional internship training, and community education for teens and adults.

The Hear and Say Centre is a family-focused therapy center located in Queensland, Australia. It is a registered charity, providing educational services that are free to all families within Australia who choose to attend. It established a Children's Cochlear Implant Program in 1997.


Dr. Daniel Ling's Web Site

Dr. Ling was one of the world's top professionals in the field of Auditory-Verbal Therapy, and a founder of Auditory-Verbal International, Inc. (AVI). He published several books, authored articles for over 250 publications, and presented numerous workshops related to the habilitation of hearing-impaired children at home and abroad. This Web site provides an overview of his background.

Dr. Ling passed away in August, 2003. His influence in the field of Auditory-Verbal Therapy will not be forgotten.


Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CDHH)

CDHH is a non-profit agency located in West Allis, WI, whose mission is to provide and promote state-of-the-art services and technologies that enhance the quality of life of individuals with hearing loss. CDHH provides services to individuals of all ages and degrees of hearing loss and offers assistive technology options to help maximize their ability to communicate with the world around them. For those who seek therapies that develop oral communication skills, CDHH offers Auditory-Verbal Therapy, not only to infants and toddlers but to older children and adults as well. The CDHH Auditory-Verbal Therapy program is overseen by Amy Peters-Lalios, MA, CCC-A, Cert. AVT.


California Ear Institute

Founded in 1968 as the first practice to be dedicated solely to Hearing Health care in the United States, The California Ear Institute has provided more than a quarter of a million visits for patients with Surgical, Medical, Hearing Aid, Cochlear Implant, Facial Nerve Disorder and Cranial Base Disorder needs. CEI is Northern California's premier site for treatment of ear related disorders and is highly ranked among the world's Centers of Excellence specializing in hearing and balance related disorders. The Institute is famous as a site of referral for patients from whom treatment has not turned out as expected – particularly those who require second opinions and/or revision surgical procedures.

The Let Them Hear Foundation was established in 2003 and is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation in the State of California. This Foundation offers a Cochlear Implant and Pediatric Hearing Aid Program providing services to patients in Northern California and around the world.

The Let Them Hear Foundation (LTH), in conjunction with the California Ear Institute (CEI), has been privileged and blessed to change the state of hearing health for patients around the world. We strive to impact or cure disease affecting our patients. LTH seeks to share what we have and will learn, produce, and discover with those that need it.
